Boy oh boy... Just venting. I'll be purchasing a food scale this weekend.

In my first week I was wayyy restrictive. Averaging 1300cals a day. I love that MFP allows you to see each week on a bar graph. Very helpful.

Guess I'll go back to meal prepping

The 7 pounds was mostly water weight. It masked your real weight loss that followed but when the dust settled you lost 9 pounds for the month. Nothing wrong with that!
  • 2 pounds in a month is totally healthy, especially if you are within 15-20 pounds of goal weight. I tend to lose 5-6 pounds a month, but also have a total of at least 80 pounds to lose (25 currently left).

You lost excess water and then your weight loss stabled out.

Sounds about right to me :)

I lost about 5 pounds right off the bat since the first thing I focused on was being hydrated. Weight loss tapered off after that.

You're doing great! Keep it up.

yup. This is a typical pattern for people first starting out and it takes about 4-5 weeks to stabilize. You are doing great!

yes, get that food scale. It really helps monitor portions!
