Hi - I was here a few years back. Life has taken many twists and turns and I'm more-or-less at a good stable weight. Except.....I've noticed a little bit of a creep up and I was at the high end of where I like to be anyway so I'm taking my two pound weight gain and adding three pounds to it to try and maintain a stable five pound weight loss. I have food intollerances, I've been completely gluten free for more than 20 years and also don't eat eggs, most dairy, garlic, almonds and a few random things that make me ill and bloated. I'm quite petite (short) so two or three or five pounds is a significant visual difference on me.
My goals. I want to lose and maintain the loss of five pounds. I would LOVE to get the waist back I had pre-kids -- ok that really might be a challenge. I had a 21 to 23 inch waist for many years and I have a 26.5 inch waist now. I would really like a 24 inch waist. Is it possible after having two kids and being middle aged? I do a hilly bike route with my boyfriend every other week. My best time is 38 minutes and some change. I'd like to improve by a few minutes and get to under 35 minutes. I want to take up running again and run 5 miles comfortably, There are my starting and concrete goals.
I'll add a little bit more. I was on bedrest with my second child and gained 50+ pounds. It took me about two - three years to lose all of that. I maintained most of that weight loss pretty well but crept up about 12 pounds during some challenging years. I lost that and maintained for several years but am seeing a slow creep again....so I'm getting rid of the creeping weight. : )
