Is my calorie burn accurate

I have been going to at least one spin class each day for this whole week. The first few classes that I went to my heart rate monitor said that I burned 600 calories and my heart rate was about 170-180 the whole time. However, according to my heart rate monitor I only burned 460 calories in this past two classes and my heart rate is 160-170 throughout the class. Why is that happening?

All things being equal, as you become more aerobic conditioned, your heart rate will naturally decrease because your vascular system has adapted and gotten better at handling it.

Maybe you need to add more resistance. I take that class a couple of days a week and thats what I do

You're getting better at it, your body is more efficient, so you don't need to exert as much energy.

One does not become 24% more efficient in a matter of a few weeks. HR alone to determine burn from a spin class is useless. There is no accounting for resistance .. for mechanical work done.

I don't think your body adapts to exercise that quickly.

I do think you're probably tired from several days of intense exercise in a row. I don't spin but I wear an activity tracker and even if I think I'm doing all the same things when I'm tired I get lower burns. Maybe it's time for a rest day.
