Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a good free workout app, program or scheme. Please keep in mind that i'm a absolute beginner :).

Looking forward to read the responses!

Youtube will be your best resource, IMO. Specifically the fitnessblender channel. They have MANY work out videos on there. If you don't mind the ads that sometimes happen between videos (I use these as my "get water and shake it out" time), then you should be able to find a plethora of videos on there.

I have the Stronglifts 5x5 app. It's available on iPhone and Android. I also have an app called SworkIt that links to MFP. It has cardio, stretching, yoga and build your own programs. Runkeeper has a C25k option and of course runkeeper links with MFP as well.

I have an android phone so I'm not sure about SworkIt and iPhone.

JessicaSmithTV.com it's free to sign up.

She's great. Lots of variety, there should be something on there you enjoy.

I've really like the app Jefit. It has programs and routines (lifting focuses, not cardio). You can choose one of their programs, or from the hundreds that have been uploaded by users. Or, you can build your own (like I do). It allows you to track your lifts, reps, sets, etc. Keeps track of the weights you did last time you did that exercise. Calculates 1 rep max, shows what you need to do to beat it. It also allows you to track your body measurements.

The 'lolo' apps on the iPhone are very good. The running coach is great and changes your music speed to fit your workout!

If you are an outside person 'Couch 2 5k' and indoors blogilates. Here is the link: http://www.blogilates.com/blog/2014/12/30/new-beginners-calendar-2-0-for-2015/

I am planning on doing a mix of both. Depending on what I am feeling that day.

I use BodySpace by Bodybuilding.com and it's pretty cool because there's over 100k different templates and workouts so you can chose what to work. Plus it's a free app
