How do you know you've hit a plateau?

Hey all,
New here, been logging for 17 days. I've also been weighing myself first thing in the morning.
At first, I seemed to lose a couple pounds, but for the last six days my weight has stalled. What I"m wondering is, when do you know it's a plateau and that you should cut more calories?

Some will panic if they have not lost weight in 2 days. In reality, try to understand that many factors have a temporary impact on your weight due to water weight. Sodium, stress, sleep, change in fitness routine, hormones/TOM. If you're female, I'd say to compare weight today to weight 30 days ago. Give it 2-3 months and if you weigh in daily, you'll probably see a pattern emerge.0

A plateau is minimum 4-6 weeks, and it usually means you're eating more than you think. Six days is probably water fluctuations and nothing to worry about.0
