Cheat days??

yes or no? I currently cheat once day a week were I basically eat whatever I want/drink alcohol. Helps keep me sane lol but is this detracting from my goals? Do any of you do a cheat meal or full day and does it help metabolism?

    I do a cheat day but, I only call it that because each individual meal that day is usually not all that bad. I still log my whole day and keep my cals at or below maintnence and it seems to be working for my sanity. I lose 2-3 lbs every week sO it doesn't appear to be slowing anything. If and when it does I will stop.

    If I didn't have a cheat day once every so often I'd find the going that much tougher and might well end up feeling miserable from being too restrictive. That isn't going to help me, especially sticking to good eating and exercise habits long term.

    Sundays are my cheat days. I allow myself to go over my calories. That way I can get my pint of ice cream in once a week.
