The Cranberry Citrus Crisps are not listed as vegan but I don't see ingredients that would make them not?

http://www.abcsmartcookies.com/cranberry-citrus-crisps-girl-scout-cookies

Under Allergen Information it says "This product is manufactured on equipment that processes products containing milk. "

The Peanut Butter Patties are listed as vegan and it says "This product is manufactured on equipment that
processes products containing coconut and milk."

Does anyone know why the Cranberry Citrus Crisps are not listed as vegan?

I'd like to know what the natural flavoring is.....why not just say what it is? I would suspect that any machine that uses milk would be considered a no go......however fields of vegetables have roaming vermin (farmer vernacular) and other cute creatures that poo a lot and get intimate with machinery, so I'm not quite sure which part of the brain to use for that realization.

The shared equipment warning is for allergy purposes. Since veganism is about avoiding animal exploitation, consuming products that were made on shared equipment is fine.

I think it could well be the natural flavoring. They are not all vegan and, in the US, food producers are not obligated to share that on the packaging.

OP, it might also be the monoglycerides. Those can be sourced from plants or animals.

How many different ways could it say it contains sugar.... Oh my goodness.

sugar, dried cranberries (cranberries, sugar, sunflower oil), malt syrup (from corn and barley), invert sugar,

natural flavor = something fake and not worth giving it an actual name... I would not touch these with a 10 foot pole..

None of this has anything to do with OP's question.

The types of Girl Scout cookies that are listed as being vegan on ABC Baker are Thanks-a-lots, Lemonades, Thin Mints, and PB Patties. Cranberry Citrus Crisps are not shown to be vegan. abcsmartcookieu.com/index.php/cookies/varieties

Girl Scout cookies are made by two companies, ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers. Little Brownie Bakers has one type of vegan cookie, the Thin Mints. They also do not make Cranberry Citrus Crisps.

I know, more than you wanted to know!!!
