hello could someone please provide some guidance . I'm stuck in a plateau . I box 4 days a week burning 700 plus calories and I work as an Er nurse . I try to mix up my diet with high protein and or higher carb days . But I seem to build muscle and not loose inches ..., as a former trainer helping others achieve success I'm very frustrated . I know I do not suffer from any medical issues but did have anorexia Over a decade ago .i wouldn't think it would still wreak Havoc on my met now .
Thanks for helping !

Look at this checklist:
- Are you weighing your food?
- Are you measuring liquids?
- Are you ACCURATELY tracking your caloric intake?
- Where and how are you getting your calorie burns for exercise?
You won't be building muscle in a caloric deficit (if you're in one), you're most likely eating more than you burn.0 -
In this case, maybe the combination of high protein and strength training exercise is building more muscle then you had hoped for. Try doing more cardio such as running, swimming, or dancing to help "slim down." However, your muscle-building result just might be how the healthy you is like. Since everyone's body is different, you might be the kind to build more muscle than others. Sometimes the calories and the weight is just a number, so what you eat and how you exercise is what counts. Just stick to REAL food (fruits, veggies, whole grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, etc.) and you should be fine!0

Are you tracking calories at all? Weight loss is based on caloric deficit maintained over time, not just exercise.0
