Wishing I had more friends to run with

Hi, my name is Belinda and I just recently started running and unfortunately I do not have many if any friends that run. I have found running to be helpful in losing weight and also a mind numbing thing that I find I need having 2 younger kids and going to college. Anyone have running tips, tricks or trades? I am currently running about 2 miles 3 days a week and running 4.5 + on another day and have been running for about 4 weeks now. I am thinking about doing a half marathon and looking into some try and triathlon.
