Does anyone else struggle to motivate themselves, when they're not in a routine?

When I work, I'm in the habit of: go work, go gym, go home. I want to extend the gym habit to weeks and time I have off which means I don't have to go anywhere. I really struggle to motivate myself to go just for the gym if it's not for work. Does anyone else have this problem, can anyone give me any tips to change my habits for the better?
I'm just a bit worried, that if I start college again next year, the lower amounts of hour required to actually be places is going to affect my routine and make me less committed to the gym!
I hope I worded that OK, I look forward to your replies on this subject .
