L-Glutamine and Sugar cravings

For the first time in my life (after childbirth and then weight loss and sickness) I have a raging sugar/chocolate craving. I am a healthy weight so this isn't about loss/gain but overall health and inflammation. Because this has never been true for me, I think it is likely some kind of sign of I health in my nutrition/body.

My inflammation is at an all time high! Old injuries are bugging me. My asthma is flaring... You get the idea.

So I'm looking at dietary and nutritional deficits that might need correction and I keep finding L-Glutamine popping up. Anyone else tried this? Any thoughts on it?

    Hi:

I take L glutamine if I do not have the time to prepare my protein shake. I use it very seldom. It is just more amino acids for your body. I do prefer to munch my vitamins though. I try to eat healthy food that will give me the protein and amino acids I need.
I suggest you consult you doctor for your inflammation issues.
    All the best

heard of it, not used it. A little bit under your tongue is supposedly effective.

I do actually eat very heathfully. Lots of emphasis on whole natural foods. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to cutting it. I do wonder if hormones and dieting have left me depleted and needing supplementation.

As far as a doctor helping inflammation- I wish! They will prescribe plenty for symptoms (like asthma) but as far as addressing the whole system... Total disappointment. If you know of a medical professional who has a scientific and holistic approach to inflammation- who I might be able to connect with online- please send me a name! I wish this was something being looked at more seriously.
