For example: could I do the same 30 minute cardio workout for a week straight without it losing it's effectiveness? Or should I change it every day? Or should I change it 3 - 4 times a week, ect?
I know that with strength training it should be changed fairly often, but is it the same with cardio?

I don't think it matters for cardio. The reason for strength changing throughout the week is to allow time for your muscles to repair.0
