Why is it that sometimes even when we've had a good week and tracked every morsel do we gain? ! I find it happens more and more as I near my target! (Only got 6 pounds to go)! Anyone know why? ! Very disheartened but won't give up! Just fancied a moan really! ! :-)

This is most likely water retention. Women are lucky that way.0

I got back from vacation last week and was up about 6lbs on Tuesday morning. Yesterday I was back down about 5. Today I'm back up 3. I did not gain and lose that weight in FAT all week long. It's just water and not a big deal.
Weight loss is not linear, and our weight varies from day to day due to many things - water weight due to sodium & water intake, hormones, new exercise/sore muscles, hormones, etc.
Better to look at the decline in weight over time, and to take measurements and go by how your clothes are fitting. The scale can drive ya nuts until you realize that it's not always honest with you on actual progress. Don't let that number define you - if you're sticking with healthy eating and exercise habits, you're making progress, so hang in there!0 -
Agreed about looking at the scales to gauge how we are doing.
My lb'sup & down all the time so I have stopped constantly weighing myself because I know I am sticking to my healthy eating & walking/biking so go more on my clothes, they feel loose & are getting looser so that is all that matters.0
