calories taken in calories burned

I have worked out my macros and what my total daily calories should be 2330 however when working out at the gym am I supposed to workout more calories than I am taking in daily?

No. You are supposed to burn more calories total than you take in ... that includes all of the components of your resting metabolic rate plus what you burn at the gym.0

First off, remember that all calorie counts (in and out) are estimates. The general objective is to run at a deficit of 500 each day (you can go at a bigger deficit, but that is much harder to maintain). If you work out, estimate what you burned and eat that back (to fuel your next work out and provide protein for muscle retention/building). Go a few weeks and if it isn’t going the way you planned, tweak things and charge on.0
