This time will be diffrent

I am going on a cruise in September, I am determined to not just be the one taking the pictures that I will be in the pictures, and not be ashamed of what I look like! I am 5'1" starting out at 183.8 (shaking my head can't believe it has gotten this bad) and my goal weight is 120. I don't think I can reach my goal weight by September but I want to be at least in my 140's. Am I being realistinc? I been working out every other day for a week, keeping my calories between 1200 and 1400. that was my first week...now I plan on working out everyday and sticking to 1200 calories a day! I don't have much of a support system, my husband thinks I should just be able to drop it no problem. He stops drinking soda for a week and loses 5lbs! Of coures he can also eat a box of little debbies and not gain a pound! Hoping I can get some tips and support on here. I welcome any advice and incouragement! I bought the Insanity work out and am doing that every other day....This week I will make sure it is done everyday! Thanks for your help/support!

Yes you can do it!! Forget about the husband ( I agree, they do have it easy when it comes to weight loss) and concentrate on you. I see that you have already set some goals. What has worked for me is portion control, no bad carbs, tons of water and tons of exercise and it seems you are headed for the right direction. Remember we all have our bad days. If you get one, there is always the next day. Good luck! I have lost 13 pounds, need to lose 50 by October, for my next dr's appointment. WE CAN DO THIS!!
  • Mini vacation next weekend I am driving from Florida to Va to visit family plan on taking healthy snacks instead of hitting a drive thru and maybe just fast walking while there.....I don't want it to be a set back
  • I don't know for sure that you can make it to the 140's by September, but I can promise you that you will look and feel a million times better if you try. Even if you fail, you might be in your 150's, but if you don't try, you could be in your 190's. :)

I'd welcome the chance to be in your support network - I accept all friend requests.

40ish is a little aggressive. i think mini goals are more realistic and help maintain motivation. life gets in the way, and we slip up from time to time (plus i think thats a low, not very sustainable range, but thats a different question)

if u are just starting out, u will drop a few lbs right off the bat. maybe say 175 by July 4th, and maybe shoot for the 160s by Aug 1st... and take it from there
