I want to eat. I've eaten enough. It's like I'm a drug addict looking for a fix! This is awful!!!

Omg. This was me last night. I ate a 60 calorie Popsicles, drank a bottle of water, and went to bed.0

perhaps you can talk yourself down.
What are all the reasons not to eat ?

Just tell yourself "Meh" and do something else...this has worked for me so far. Be strong!0

I have this problem BIGTIME...especially with sugary snacks. Keep in mind how you might feel afterward! I, for one, feel guilty after those kinds of splurges. Another suggestion is to brew some tea or a small cup of coffee but adding as little milk/cream/sugar/etc. as possible to keep the calorie count down. A hot beverage with a little flavor helps me keep the edge off.0

My reasons not to eat
1) To finally be a healthy weight
2) To have my husband think I'm one hot chicka
3) To feel comfortable in my skin
4) To reduce pain of my spine0 -

*laughing* Not being able to say meh is what's got me into this fix.

I've got sugar free pops, 10 calories. So that's an option!

When I get that, I just distract myself. Like... blast a badass song and dance with the dog and get chores done and generally get busy doing something, anything. I find that often my brain mistakes idleness for hunger when I'm not actually hungry.0

Oh, and also, I make green teas.0

How many calories is 'enough'?0 -
I've eaten just under my goal. I've had enough. I've eaten 3 meals, and 2 snacks.0

What is your calorie goal?0 -
1650, I ate 1566.0

Are you getting enough fat and protein?0 -
Under 46 on protein, over 5 on fat.0

Hitting your protein macro might help.0 -
Yes, you are probably right. I've been sitting here trying to get my mind off food, it's not working.0

Hmmmmmmm.....First I think it was idleness. Now, I actually feel hungry.

If you are hungry then eating will make the hunger go away.
Imagine yourself after you have eaten. Will this urge to eat be gone ?

Arent those reasons enough? How does this not compute? You either want it or you dont wnat it enough. Make a choice.
Eat a more sensible diet which increases satiety so you are less hungry and do some exercise which allows you to eat more.0 -

I must say that I do agree with this.
This isn't going to be easy. Most people on this site go through periods when they want to eat, but have reached their calorie limit. Its not at all unusual. If you are going to be successful at this then you will have to accept that.
Look at your reasons for not eating and your reasons for eating. Consider them carefully. Try to imagine how you will feel tomorrow if you do eat, and if you don't eat. Chose which one you prefer. If its too hard for you then consider reducing your deficit. This will slow down your rate of weight loss; but succeeding at slow weight loss is better than failing at faster weight loss.
Read the success stories for inspiration. Its your life, and your choices will dictate the direction it goes. Its possible that you will have other days like today where you have to chose between what you want now (eating), and what you want most (weight loss). The challenge on those days will be just as hard as it is today. If you chose to eat today it is not just one day it is creating a habit of how you will deal with this situation. The choice is yours. To resist eating is hard. But to be overweight is also hard. Which hard do you want in your life ? Its entirely up to you. Life is not easy - which hard do you chose ?

Sitting there thinking about it will make it worse. Drink two large glasses of water and go do something else, a long walk perhaps with a bottle of water but no snacks on the way!0 -
Well, I made it! I'm thankful to have had everyone's help last night. I do think that TavistockToad is on to something. I think I might have been out of balance.
FIRST thing I did when I got up today was put food in my mouth. I was legitimately hungry.0 -
The way I see it is if you're reaching your daily goal you don't need any more. It's just your mind playing games, don't let it fool you. Hunger and cravings are only temporary. Just distract yourself and they'll pass0
