Calories in a chicken leg quarter

Hi,
I just bought a chicken leg quarter. It weighs 340g / 12oz (raw). with the bones and the skin.
The pack says 158 cal per 100g.
This means it is 537 calories for the quarter.
Does this sound reasonable ?
Most sites quote a chicken quarter at 100 to 200 calories less than that.
I'm just wondering if the calories listed are for the weight of the meat only and since I am weighing it with the bone my numbers are not correct.
It seems very high to me.
Thanks

That's the calories with the meat only. You would have to take the skin and meat off the bones, weigh them and then calculate the calories if you want an accurate measure.0

whew - I was actually thinking that I would never buy chicken leg quarters again !
I've already eaten it so I'm going to weigh the bones
Thank you for replying.

Just weighed them
The bones weighed 70g
leaving 280g for the meat / skin, so 440 calories. Still seems a bit high, but at least I get to have a bit of chocolate !0 -
I was just pondering this same issue the other day. I love chicken.
Anyway, what I ended up doing is pretty much the same: weighed the cooked chicken before eating it, weighed the bones left over, and logged it as "Chicken - Leg, meat and skin, cooked, roasted” from the database, so 232 cals, 26 protein / 100 grams.
If I recall correctly, my quarter was about 300g raw, 240 cooked, and 180 without bones. This came to 418 calories.
It may well be overestimated though. I didn’t have a calorie estimation on the package like you did0 -
I estimate about 65-70% of the raw weight for meat only, then use USDA nutrition info based on the raw, meat-only weight.0

I believe it's approximately 500 calories for 2 chicken leg quarters, assuming you lick the bones clean.
This website is useful, but I'm not sure how accurate it is:
