Do we eat our exercise points to lose weight?

I am new to MFP and I am not sure if I eat my exercise points or not? It seems to me that I should. I am active and run 3x a week. Also, I do PIYO (an exercise video). In addition, I wear a pedometer and I average 13,000 steps a day.
