According to that calendar, you haven't had a rest day since March 27th, right? I hate to be de-motivating, but your muscles will probably thank you if you sat this one out...

Personally I would say go. Unless you're sick or haven't eaten enough to fuel a workout today.

I feel so guilty if i take a day off. like it's all going to fall apart. it's like my mind is saying "don't take a break!!!" but my body is saying "please take a break"

Do you feel guilty about all those hours you spend sleeping when you could be doing extra cardio?
Don't feel guilty about letting your body recover once in a while. If you're afraid it will kill your motivation to break your gym streak, go sit in the sauna and read a magazine.

If you are worried about your schedule just include a rest day in your schedule. I write 'rest' on the calendar. It's a vital part of my routine. You can't progress if you don't give your body a chance to recover.

Ended up going. I took it easy though and did the modifications- no jumping. Glad I went but going to listen to scheduling days off. I see what you mean. Do you not do anything on rest days?

Just do anything you'd do on a normal day, minus the exercise.

I do some light yoga. I may do a bit of work on a specific pose, plus some poses that I usually do to work towards some of my flexibility goals, and a light video, something without too much strength building. Stretches and learning, poses for stress relief, leisurely walk, etc. I will even take easier modifications in the videos because I am supposed to be resting, even if I feel like I have the energy for the full pose.

I, too, like doing something every day. I benefit from it physically and psychologically. So I still "do my workout", I just make it more fun, playful, restful.

Just went to Hulu and added some yoga videos to my queue!

decided to take a break today. I just couldn't get out of bed. it's been nice. especially since it's a lazy day- it's really dark and pouring down rain. time to write and watch movies and give myself a break because i have to!

Basically this. I usually end up getting some form of exercise in, since I use my days off to do stuff like take the dogs for a long leisurely walk, or all the yardwork I've been putting off.
