For me, it's two things:
1) Having a deep-seated, solid "why". I would remember why I started this whole journey in the first place and how different things are this time around than in the past when I tried to "get healthy" simply to "lose weight". Having an emotional connection to my goal has been HUGE!
2) Understanding that, when it comes to goal achievement, consistency trumps motivation every time. Motivation comes and goes constantly but I remind myself on days when I truly can't see the forest for the trees that as long as I stay consistent (consistent in my workouts and consistent in my eating) that my goals WILL happen. Even if they don't happen quicker than I'd like, as long as I stayed consistent in picking myself up when I get knocked down or even just going through the motions will compound over time and I won't regret it.

My motivation is that I have a taekwondo black belt exam in 6 weeks so my training regime to prepare for it has increased to build my endurance and make me stronger. When I get my black belt I have to maintain my fitness levels because I'll be doing demonstrations in the class. Taekwondo is a major part of my life so that is my motivation for being fit and healthy. Entering 5k races used to be my motivation but when the race was over so was my training. I think you have to look at something that will get you and keep you excited. Doing something where there is progression may help. I am happy today because I lost a pound. Feel free to add me if you want support.0

I feel the same! Gym has not been my priority due to working late into the night most days at work. But now the job stress is over I am due to go back this evening. I'v had my muesli and fruit for breakfast. Chicken breast avocado and salad for lunch. Unsure what to have for my pre gym snack - any ideas?
I do find if I eat well in the day this helps my mind set getting me in the mood for the gym, as I know if I eat well I will perform better
Anyone have any other motivational tips? x0
