It's water retention0

The most important things I have learned since I started weight lifting are these:
1. Sore muscles = water retention (and muscle rebuilding, which is GOOD)
2. Scale weight is a liar - measurements tell the real story.0 -
That is normal, it's just extra water in your muscles. It will go away in a week or so. For women it's impossible to build muscle that fast or that much unless you are doping. Don't worry and keep up what you are doing. Also you may want to take your measurements and track your progress that way. A year ago I worked with a personal trainer. She forbade me to weigh myself for 1 month. In that month I lost 3 # but I lost 12 inches and nearly 5% of my body fat. And I dropped at least a full dress size. The scale is only one way to measure and really to me, losing inches is way better than losing lots of pounds. Hope that helps and good luck!0
