My ear(s) clog when doing cardio...normal??

When I do an intense cardiovascular workout, my ears (or just one) clog-- I try yawning and all the other tricks as if I was on an airplane, but it doesn't work.
Does anyone know why this happens, how I can release the pressure, and how to possibly prevent it?

I don't know if it's normal, but I've had that happen a few times. - Not helpful, but sometimes it's nice to know you're not alone in the issue. Beyond that, I don't know how to prevent it or why it happens.0

Hello, I happen to have a slight deviated septum and my ear on that side plugs funny when I do intense cardio. I get a plugged up, popping feeling. I believe it has something to do with how my ear drains. If it’s a problem you may want to consult an Ears, Nose, and Throat doctor.0

Thank you for the feedback. If it happens more often, then I'll see a doc.0
