Question about carb intake? :)

Hello! I work out quite a lot (hoping to become a certified instructor!!) and my diet, just by virtue of the things that I eat habitually, know are healthy and enjoy, tends to be lower in my apparently recommended carb consumption and higher in protein. I don't feel sluggish during my workouts or anything... does anybody think this is a cause for concern? My goal has always been fitness rather than weight gain or loss. Thank you!
