Picking up the pieces and Starting over

in the last week I slow watched the man who too me in as a son three decades ago slip into brain damage induced coma and die. I've lost people I thought were close friends and I hit rock bottom in many ways.
But today I'm letting go and starting over. I'm committing to be better for myself and not let baggage or toxic people harm me. I'm never going back there.
I hope anyone reading this maybe draws something from it and walks that walk with me.

Good for you. It's so difficult to make that first step, and even more difficult when there's other painful circumstances working against you.
The courage to start over is awesome - I can definitely draw from your motivation.0 -
