    Cardio day today. Haha
    Oh and abs.

    Tomorrow is lifting day.
Why cardio? Because I'm training for a TM... So I need both. :-p

    #goals

quads and hams for me today ....

but then it is upper body the rest of the week, because genetics....

I must be male then... Cuz I much prefer upper body work and I bench what I'm squatting (which is not much, sadly). . But... Oooh... I bet I could out lift you.

LOLZ did ole Zach ever come back to re-challenge LOLbro??????????????

so you disagree with Mike Chang??????????????

Hmmm... Depends... What will cause more conflict? Agreeing or disagreeing?

IDK - something tells me we have maxed out the conflict in this thread...

You lack faith in the suck?

I don't think it can get any hotter than "sexist" comments being thrown around...

but MFP has proved me wrong in the past...

Dude, did you miss the memo that this was "let go" just like Frozen about 5 pages ago. I was under the impression that you were in the "in crowd" and were privy to this information? Now I am confused! Uhhhh the internet is so hard sometimes!

Lol, so is a gallon of almond milk lighter in weight than a gallon of 2% milk? You know because 2% is denser than almond milk and takes up less space.

I heard from a trainer that since the muscles are bigger on the lower body, that it burns more calories to work them, which *sort of* makes sense of what the OP is saying.

Still, I want amazing shoulder/back, so Imma keep working the upper body!

It may be technically true... But not to any hugely noticeable extent.

    Keep working the whole body!

Lifted last night with New Rules of Lifting for Women (Stage 2, day B) so lunges and crunches were involved but then I rebelled and did bench press, wrist curls (to work on a slight weakness) and bicep curls, which aren't part of the program.

I personally love working my upper body and have a love/hate relationship with leg day. Right now I'm doing...

    M - Chest/Tri
    T - Legs
    W - Cardio
    Th - Shoulders/Glutes
    F - Back/Bi

I'm not claiming that either is better than the other or better than any other split, but I think women should train however they want to. I really want nice strong arms, shoulders, and back, and my upper body strength needs some work anyway. I want nice legs and a bigger butt too, but I don't think I need four leg days a week in order to accomplish that.

I say as long as you're doing plenty of compound lifts and you're lifting heavy and consistently, you're going to get results. What will get you the best results really depends on the individual in question. It's not a men vs. women thing at all.

Why do you have to discriminate against Mondays? They are just as special, and strong as any other day. Jeez!

Mondays are genetically (and physically) inferior to other days of the week for certain body parts. It's science.
It's this mentality that has kept elections away from Mondays and giving them all to Tuesdays!

it's because Monday's on welfare- which means drug tests and no steaks.

weds are far superior, as it is time for pulled pork.

Is that why they call them hump days?

    LMAO

This thread is a huge trainwreck. Why do 70% of threads here become "battle of the sexes"?

Each individual should train in a way that promotes their personal goals and is compatible with their individual capabilities. Nothing more, nothing less.

because some people on here choose to take things way too seriously, and have no clue how to differentiate sarcasm and joking, from seriousness.

and it appears that some people expect that someone will never misspeak and when they do they should be tarred and feathered, and then quartered...

I've actually been very graciously ignoring your attempts to bait me with your hilarious jokes, if you notice.

(See *that * is sarcasm there, instanced in the use of the words "hilarious" and "jokes")

so you are ignoring me by responding to me? Interesting...

I did not refer to you by name, unless of course you think that "some people" refers to you ...or am I really in your head that much?

I said I ignored your hilarious jokey baiting posts.

You know that I know what you were doing. We've been bound together for all time by that other thread. Certainly for as long as we count here. It's kind of sweet if you think about it
