Eat even more?

So I'm 6'2" 162 pounds. I have been doing the 5x5 program for about a month. I'm looking to gain some muscle and strength. (Spent most of my life as a runner) I have been eating 3100 calories and I have been gaining .3 pounds per week on average. My lifts have been improving nicely. Could I see more muscle gain quicker with more calorie intake or should I just keep doing what I have been? Thank you in advance.

When did you start lifting? Just for the month with 5x5? If so, you might want to focus on maximizing your strength gains, building a platform of strength with your existing muscle mass, and not worry so much about adding additional mass just yet. Which is to say, you might stay real content with the low additional weight you're gaining now until your lifts start to stall out and then bump up your calories a bit.0
