Really, super concerned...

So...I've consistently completed the 30DS for 6 days now, & the next 24 days won't be any different. But I'm really concerned that this workout isn't enough to count for anything or influence my body to change unless I do extra exercise. I realize it's ONLY been 6 days, but tomorrow is my weigh in day & I don't see any way that I'll have lost anything or look even slightly different. This is also the first week that I haven't weighed myself daily, & I'm preparing myself for a let down. Has anyone else needed to add extra work after 30DS to make sure you'll have some results?

nope, the first two times i did 30ds that was all i did, and i lost lbs and inches.
youre right that you probably wont look any different after 6 days, and the scale might not have gone down (might even go up, depending on a variety of factors) but at the end of the 30 days youll see a difference. make sure you use a soft measuring tape and measure your body too.. sometimes the scale doesnt show the most important loses0 -
I think I'm mostly worried because I've been in the midst of a plateau for longer than I would ever want to be. This week of not knowing my weight every morning has felt like a month; it's almost excruciating! But thank you for your reassurance!0

SIX days??? Patience is a virtue.....You are probably retaining water due to muscle repair.....Take measurements - but please don't expect that the change in six days either...30 d shred is a starter 20 minute workout - not a miracle.....0

Did you know that the 30DS is not actually supposed to be done on 30 consecutive days? Jillian Michaels says somewhere, (I can't remember, a podcast or somewhere) that you're supposed to have rest days. The whole "30 day" thing is just a marketing gimmick.
Anyway.
I'm not sure what your expectations from 30DS are. People have great results, but it is just a form of exercise. What are your goals? If it's weight loss you're after, a calorie deficit is what you need, and most of that comes from what you're doing with diet. If you're looking to build/maintain muscle mass and/or achieve body decomposition, there are more effective ways than 30DS. So, maybe you don't need to do more exercise, just a different kind. Really depends what your goals are though.
Also, don't get so attached to the number of the scale. If you've been working out hard for 6 days and end up weighing heavier because your muscles are retaining water as they repair themselves... that's not a "let down" is it?0 -
I didn't lose weight or notice any changes in my progress pics (took one every 10 days) till the very end. But I definitely noticed some big changes in my body.0
