That's 2.2 pounds every week? That's pretty rigorous.

Yeah. Sticking to 1200 calories per week and exercising at least 4 times per week. A small incentive for me is to donate $1 per kg miss each week to a local food bank. So if I don't miss no cost to me. if I do miss it goes to a good cause. Either way is a win.

good luck, I like the donation incentive! But, careful, you'll lose muscle at this rate.

I started out at a similar rate (lost 10 kg in about 11 weeks, lost a few more after that) and the initial results were encouraging so it's an okay start to go for 1200, BUT I had to realize that the rate doesn't matter if it's a lifestyle change and I was staaarving and even blacked out once. At 1200 it felt like a diet and no diets ever worked for me. My goal is still at 1350 but I eat a bit more now due to fitbit added activity (1500-1600+) and I have sooo much more energy and work out 10x harder . I haven't missed my goal or a workout in 2 months and I have no interest in snacks and other evil temptation(I'm just not that hungry). As long as you log accurately and trust the process, you will lose. Even at 1lbs per week you will enjoy your new lifestyle. Keep your goal low if you want to but try to increase your food intake by adding activity. Also consider strength training! It's much easier to keep muscle then to gain it and at 1200kcal a day with added cardio muscle loss is easier.

Why would you want to do that? Losing a lot of muscle is never good, and even worse after 40......

Down .7kg this past week. Kept to calorie goal 5 out of 7 days. Exercised 5 out of 7 days. Good week!
