Is it just me - if I eat my exercise calories I put on weight. I have proved this many times. Any comments please?

Then either your calorie goal is wrong or something is going wrong with your calories in or calories out estimations.
In the end you have to adjust based on real world results and not calculations or estimations.

Increasing calories consumed comes with things like more carbs, more sodium, more fiber (waste in your body)..etc. When you eat your exercise calories back you are filling out your glycogen, retaining more water, and have more food refuse in your intestines - all of which can make the numbers on the scale go up. Now if you mean you consistently gain every single week for at least 1 month, then there must be some issues with you under-estimating intake calories and/or over-estimating exercise calories.
