Can I hit a plateau from running the same route?

I run the same route every morning with the exception of schedules changes and do different pilates routines throughout the day. I haven't noticed any fluctuations in my weight, but is it possible to hit a plateau if you run the same route?

Yes. Done long enough, the body will adapt. You can keep that from happening by just adding sprints, or trying to decrease the time running it.
Thanks so much! I'll definitely try to run faster/add sprints because there aren't many other routes I could make on MapMyRun0 -
Yes you will hit a plateau doing any exercise. You need to change and adapt so your muscles / cardio vascular system has different challenges otherwise you will not progress and fat burning will be reduced. If running is your thing try doing intermittent sprints or run some hills. Alternatively do a completely different exercise such as cycling or weight training0

Definitely try to add some hill training and sprints. One thing you can do on your current route is to pick objects and say you are going to sprint between them. Something like a mailbox and a telephone pole. Look for articles on speed work on runnersworld.com
One suggestion though is to run different routes for your personal safety. There can be creepers out there that will take notice of stuff like that.0
