so im just curious, and slightly concerned. when i get reported for abuse , though i have no idea why or what thread it was on.. does anything happen? can i eventually lose my account? i have two reports against me. i would hate for my membership to be cancelled i have been doing really well! also can anyone tell me why some people have they're avatars look like they're in jail? is that what happens? i tried searching for an answer but came up with nothing.

The only time the "points" matter is when you get them from a mod. There are a lot of people that go around flagging posts they don't agree with as abuse and some will even flag every post from users they dislike. I even had a post with my progress pictures flagged as abuse. The mods will let you know if you have violated a rule. I remember one thread where people were comparing how many of their posts were flagged as abuse and some people have a lot.
I have 5 now. Not sure what the newest one is from, but I know that one was on my progress photos and 2 were in the same thread were someone didn't like my post. edit: Yes, that leaves 2 that I can't figure out were they are from and I have tried weeding through all my replies/posts for them.0 -

It depends.. if you were flagged by a moderator... yes it counts and can effect your account if you continue getting warnings etc.
Most likely what happened is someone didn't like something you were saying so they flagged you. Some members use it as entertainment and click randomly on ppl. The Staff/Mods are tracking those ppl.

You'll know it's from an MFP mod if you see a triangle with a face (you can click the bell and look through the threads you've been in. If you see a triangle with a face then it's a warning from a Mod, if not it's just someone playing. If you receive something from a Mod in the PM's then yes, it's a true warning depending on what behavior is done. You'll be able to read about it on the above link.
If you don't feel you've done anything to merit a flag/warning it's likely it's just a member that is flag happy.
