Calf muscles aren't getting any stronger?

I don't know if i'm imagining it or if this is possible. I have been doing P90X and insanity for almost 3 months. I have lost only a couple inches off of my body and I can tell my arms are stronger and my butt is smaller, but that's about it. However, the thing I don't understand is that my calves haven't changed at all. They still look like lumps of fat. They aren't any slimmer, there is no definition, nothing. I was hoping to see a little bit of muscle by now.
Also, every time I work out I still feel like my calf muscles are going to rip in half or something. I have also been doing calf raises besides my workouts. I just feel like they are getting any stronger, but I work my butt off to push myself the hardest I can while doing P90X and insanity.
