What should I look for when checking out Ellipticals on Craigslist.

    It depends on what you're looking for:
    - Is space a concern?
    - Price?
    - How much will you be using it (durability)?
    - Do you want certain features such as a HRM, ipod/iphone connector, swinging arms, television?
    - How difficult is transportation/moving it going to be (truck, friends)?
    - Does the individual on CL creep you out (personal safety)?

    Space and special features are not super important to me. My main concern is what to look for to make sure the parts are ok. I know getting on it and trying it out but I worry I won't be able to tell if there are mechanical issues.

    You're right. You're going to have to get on it and try it out to make sure there are no major issues.
