Does allocating half of your daily calories to alcohol count as starvation?

...There's a reason why many longtime alcoholics get that barrel tummy with stick legs. My family had several members drinking themselves to death. So yea, technically alcoholics are not starved in calories, but nutritionally they are.
You do whatever you want to do, OP. No one can stop you, but yourself. But asking the internet to validate your personal choices...what do you expect really ?0 -
I know I am an alcoholic, I was just wondering if keeping to my diet and including all my drinks within still gave me all of the necessary nutrients.
As someone who has been there, please reach out for help. There are so many resources. Maybe you don't see it as a problem right now, but if you are using that word, part of you recognizes that it is. You don't have to go through it alone and you don't need to drink half your calories a day.0
