Step counter app please!

Hello ladies and gents,

I'm in desperate need for a step counter app or any kind of app that I can connect to MFP to measure how many calories I burn when I walk.

I have a desk job and set my activity level to sedentary. Now that it's getting warmer outside, I started walking to work though so that's about 60 minutes per day and I would like to add it as accurately as possible.

I really like Accupedo but it won't sync properly.

Any suggestions?

  • Pacer for iPhone works really well for me and syncs nicely.

I absolutely love my fitbit and would highly recommend one. Worth every penny. :) before I used to use the Pacer app.

I use the iPhone inbuilt Health app, it has a step counter that syncs ok with MFP.
  • Instead of a step counter have you tried using MapMyRun which links with MFP and will calculate your calories burned for a walk based on speed, time, and elevation? That is what I prefer for when I do any walking or jogging

mapmywalk works fine for me , but I now use the web based version and map the walks / times out myself and reduce the calories it says I burn as they seemed high

Hopefully there will be a software patch for Accupedo before too long.
