Here is great site that is free and offers all levels of daily food plans. You put what you want to track and it spells it out for you.

I am a big fan of Cooking Light and use them for most of my recipes. I've been doing weekly meal plans for myself for a while now. I post my meal plans in blog here on MFP. You can follow along, if you want (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/PiSquared). In general, I'll just link to the recipe I'm using. I'm not following any specific diet, other than trying to keep my calories in check. I aim for around 1400 calories per day. You would need to eat larger portions or up your between meal snacks to reach your calorie goal.
If you are new to cooking, my biggest piece of advice for you will be to invest in a couple of good quality knives. They don't need to be super expensive, and you won't need the whole set, but a good chef's knife and a paring knife will get you far and make your prep work much easier. Good luck!0
