Please advise

Recently started getting into working out and staying in shape. I would like to maintain the weight that I am at, but I would like to lose belly fat/bulge, any suggestions?

    Hi:

Unfortunately, nobody can spot reduce. Your body will decide which body part fat will go first.
Weight lifting has been very helpful to me, monitoring my macros with MFP app at my smartphone. Making sure I have enough protein in my food intake. Repeat.
Decreasing body fat is a separate project altogether that takes time, you will need to be consistent and patient.Search "Cutting" in the MFP Fitness and Exercise message board. You will find a lot of suggestions from successful MFP ers
Good luck in your healthy journey

As above. You're journey is a new one now. Instead of weight loss you are now going to go through phases of gaining muscle, then loosing fat. A combination of strength training with a low fat high protein diet is the place to start. I cant wait to get where you are now!!

Eat the right number of calories to maintain your weight and get into weight training.

If you are a beginner then following a beginner's strength training program would be best but anything is better than nothing!

    And be patient.
  • Thank you guys :)

It sounds like you need to do a recomposition, which is a slow process. (stay at the same weight, add muscle, lose fat) I would suggest reading this post that is stickied at the top of the General Diet and Weight Loss Help Forum
