Basal Metabolic Rate or BMR is the calorie burn measured at rest lying down after an overnight stay in a clinic with no food or drink. It accounts for about 60-70% of most people's energy requirement in normal living.
Total Daily Energy Expenditure or TDEE is the total calories you burn in a day. It's made up of :-
BMR as above plus....
Energy used to digest food - TEF
Non-exercise activity - NEAT
Physical activity energy expenditure - PAE0
