Midsection

Hello

I have a thick layer of fat on my stomach. I'm working to get rid of through exercise and dieting but was wondering if I should even bother working out my core since no abs will be visible for a while. I would have to guess I'm at 30-35% body fat. Most of it on my midsection.

I have thin legs and arms so most of my fat is on my midsection. Any suggestions for exercises? Or should I just continue with cardio and dieting. Occasionally I will do leg raises and some machines for abs.

My goal isn't to have an eight pack or even a six pack although it would be awesome!

Just want a flat stomach with very Little to no gut

Thanks

Since fat loss can't be targeted, there's little need to do ab exercises. You can work your abs indirectly with other strength exercises. Hopefully you're following a full-body strength routine, to keep a high metabolism, be strong, etc. If you're not, popular ones here are NROL and Stronglifts.. or go with a personal trainer's plan. Cardio is optional.
