Been a member for a week now and thought i'd post to say Hello! and introduce myself to the community:
My name is Steve and I live in Danbury with my wife and three children (we also have 3 dogs and 3 cats...). I embarked on a fitness journey back in January of 2013 when I was at my heaviest weight of 238lbs.
The photos below were taken the summer of 2012.

I wanted a change so I started eating clean, counting calories and was alternating every other day running and working out on my total gym. I ended up running two 5ks that year, my first ever on May 11th, 2013 (sunshine 5k Newport, NH with a time of 29:19) and my second on May 29th 2013 (blackfly blitz 5k, Wilmot, NH with a time of 27:37).
By June 1st I was down to 180lbs with a total loss of 58lbs in 6 months.
The photo on the left is my first 5k and the photo on the right is my second.

I felt great but eneded up slacked off after hitting the 180 goal and let things go after that, never really achieving the tone body and sixpack abs I desired (hence no after photos at the beach....) and by the beginning of 2015 I found myself back over 220lbs.
My wife recently joined myfitnesspal in an attempt to make a change for herself and I decided it is time for me to reignite fitness journey and take it all the way this time. I hope by joining myfitnesspal and having a community of goal orientated and motivating people behind me (including my wife) I can achieve my goals!
Add me as a friend if you get the chance and thanks for viewing my post !!
