Tracking Strength Workout Calorie Burn.

On MFP, it does not track calories burned when doing strength training. The majority of my workout is strength, therefore it doesn't seem as though I am burning many calories when I log. Anyone know why it doesn't track? I'm sure I burn a lot of calories, and there must be an approximate amount for calories burned during these exercises. Just wondering. Thanks.

Log it under cardio - search for strength training0

Seems a little pointless to have it logged under cardio, I'll have to try this too. Thanks!0

That's the only place you get calorie burn estimates. The other side is for tracking reps, etc.0 -
My understanding is that it isn't all that many calories that are burned during strength training. I mainly do lifting myself and tend to agree with that because although I'm working hard and I sweat and my heart is beating faster, it isn't nearly what it would be if I were running. Since tracking calories burned can be way off anyway, I just don't bother. If I feel I need to eat a few extra calories on workout days, I just do.0
