@GeekAmour - "Fit and happy" is an accurate description. Feels like I've taken my life back.

@wadams64 - As long as you don't quit, you're on the right path. For me, I needed goals to challenge me. Running has been the greatest delight. It's something I dreaded, but now it is my escape for being trapped indoors all day. #roadwarrior

According to charts, I need to be no more than 197 for my height. I'm at 241 now, with 225 as my goal. I say screw the charts. Pounds look way different for everyone. Dwayne Johnson (the Rock) is 240 on a 6'3" frame. As you can tell, I'm a long way from his build. At 225, I figure that my BMI will be healthy enough no matter what the charts say.

Once again. Thank you all. I'm having the time of my life and learning so much about myself and my body. Feel free to add me. I'm decent on motivation, but definitely consistent with logging.

my first thought? oh, wow. definitely a head turner for someone as visual as me. not that you are getting healthy for that reason, but you will have that as one of your results...

    Greetings,

I started my weight loss journey in late February and added MFP in early March. I still have a few more pounds until I reach my goal weight. I haven't measured my BMI, but according to weight, I'm still "obese". I'm not sure how large the photo will be. This is my first message board photo post.

My formula for success thus far:

    - Daily logging...no matter how well or bad I eat.
    - Completed "Insanity" program
    - Two months on Shakeology (once a day)
    - Protein shakes here and there
    - A lot of water!!!
    - Running - Nike Plus Running App <-- I hated running, but now I look forward to it. Add me at "delvinvick" if you use the app.
    - Not starving myself!
    - Strength training (about twice per week)

Next goal is to knock out P90x program to get shredded.
