Clicking in the hips and knees

I used to get a clicking in the hips when doing leg raises, and in the knees when doing squats, without pain or other symptoms. But I've recently started doing a bit of yoga too, and it reduced that irritating snapping noise! Does it happen to you too?
I mostly do cardio so I never payed attention to this snapping noise, but I recently started doing more strength training and work my muscles.I'm starting to hate it because of that
I'm 23, 5'9ft and 157. My goal is to get back to 135 and have a nice toned body. I eat healthy and I'm pretty active too

Me!!!!! I can't help you much more than that though.
My right knee is worse than my left. It clicks, cracks crunches etc0 -
Clicking, if not accompanied by pain, stiffness or lack of mobility, is not necessarily a worry.
I went to a physio a few months ago for a hip issue, and she got me to rotate my right hip clockwise with the leg bent, so sort of like I was drawing circles with my kneecap, and my hip was making the noisiest clunking noise she said she'd ever heard, and that it was the sound of a tendon sliding over my hipbone. It made me feel sick so I'm sharing it with you haha. However, she did also say it was just how I was built and nothing to worry about by itself. My knees click too, especially the left.
If you're worried, best to get someone to check it out, but I'm pretty sure a lot of people experience it. My Pilates classes used to be full of various snapping/clicking noises!0 -
My knees also click... I think is just air escaping the joints....could be wrong. It will sound louder weight training as it's being forced out at a higher velocity0

If you listened to me move around, you would think I'm an old lady that's falling apart (I'm just shy of 28).
I have clicking/popping/cracking in my ankles, knees, hips and shoulders. No pain associated with any of it (so far *touch wood*). The noise may be completely normal for you.
But since the noise you're hearing is new, you may want to change exercises and check with your doctor, just to make sure it's not anything to worry about. Better to make sure it's just how you're built than to make an assumption and get injured!

My left knee has clicked for years. After doing some jogging a month ago it got worse with occasional pain, when I looked up online it looked to be a meniscus tear. I wore a neoprene brace for a week and the pain went away. Now I'm just a pain-free clicker again!
I've always had a hard time lifting weights due to the same issue with clicking in my shoulders due to tendons.....it doesn't hurt it's just annoying.
