I wear converse when im doing strength training. For cardio i use the elliptical. Is it okay to wear my cons on the elliptical or should i change in to running shoes?

Sure, why not. You can even run in them if they're comfortable. I do.0

I agree with Cherimoose. If you find you have sore knees or ankles after elliptical that will tell you that you need to do something different.0

Adidas samba...highly versatile shoe with flat soles. Great for squats and cardio. Nothing wrong with chucks0
