Hi, I'm doing an exercise routine that includes 10 bench (or tricep) dips - not many I know - but I just can't complete them properly. I feel I'm ending up using my legs rather than my arms and that my wrists get very wobbily and I'm worried I'll end up damaging them.
Does anyone know of any alternative exercises that work the muscles in a similar way? Or a way of working up to doing bench dips?
Ta very much!

All of those are good alternatives. I would advise you to wear gloves, they help me with dips. And finally, you will get better. They were impossible for me just a few years ago. Now no problem. May even need to add a little weight to my lap.0
