Low Cal Ice Cream

I have tried a lot of low calorie "ice creams" that were horrible. I am obsessed with the Halo Top Ice Cream line. My favorite is Chocolate (pretty chocolately) and I also really like the Lemon Cake. The Choclate is 80 calories for 1/2 cup (so 160 for half the pint), and it is worth every bit of 160 calories. You can purchase this brand at places like Fresh and Easy, Lassens, and Sprouts (I'm sure elsewhere, but those are the ones I'm aware of). I had to share because I can't believe how tasty they are for such low calories and a good sized serving.

I decided not to bother with the low calorie ice creams after being SO disappointed with Arctic Zero. Right now I have two varieties of cashew milk ice cream on hand, and depending on whether it fits, I'll have a quarter cup serving or the full half cup serving. Either way, I'm satisfied. And usually either my fiber or protein goals are met for the day. ;)

These things are delicious. I have only tried the mint chocolate chip but it tasted just like my favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream shop ice cream.

My favourite low calorie ice cream is a small portion of Ben & Jerrys.

The arctic zero have a new line of products and also improved their old products...but Know it is not everyone's thing. I personally like it a lot, especially the new chocolate and also the cookie dough (higher in cal though). I agree Yasso is great-only tasted the chocolate chip cookie dough so far it was awesome. Enlightened is another of my favorites, too. I like the chocolate fudge bars most. I could also recommend Breyer's light slowly churned (around 120/130 cal for 1/2 cup for cookie dough etc.) and the ww and skinny cow ice creams. The two latter are very sugary and some of them taste quite artificial.

Cauliflower ice cream? Please tell me more!!

Also does anyone have good low cal ice cream recipes? Preferably sugar free or adjustable with sweetener? I have an ice cream machine at home and need inspiration....

Some people like fruity popsicles I could recommend the no sugar added ones with strawberry, raspberry and tangerine, do not remember the brand though, I think it was a very common brand-something with s..they are only 25 cal each

I thought I couldn't get any sadder after reading the thread title. Then I read this joke post and gagged.

I'm going to go to my freezer and pet my stash of Talenti now.

Try banana icecream: chop bananas up, freeze, blend in a food processor- with a little water, enjoy! Best tasting and healthiest ice cream ever

Except it's not ice cream. It's mashed bananas.

    LOL

This ice cream is absolutely the best thing in the grocery store <3 --- high-ish protein, low-ish carbs, and fiber!

Edy's/Dreyer's Slow Churned is usually 100-130 calories for a serving (though about 60% of the time now if I want ice cream I have Talenti)

Sigh, I know lots of people like this--banana lovers, vegans, etc. But...to make a similar size portion of "nana cream", it is the same calories as something like Talenti,
(which, if you look at the ingredient list, is very wholesome--some would call it healthy even).

That's not ice cream! I make my own with full fat coconut milk because I find most vegan ice cream disappointing. I have a serving, it fits into my day nicely.

Edy's has a lot of decent low calorie ice cream options for days that you don't feel like using a lot of calories on dessert. Usually when I eat low calorie ice cream I usually eat more than one serving though.

I love their Mint Chocolate Chip & it's only around 110 for 62 grams.

The French Silk & Cinnamon Bun Fun are pretty good.

I like them.. but ONLY if mixed with rhubarb, summer fruits and a couple of hundred ml of milk. Never will a smoothie taste so good!

Interesting. I like a smoothie once in awhile.

I know I get too worked up about bananas. I just don't get it. A banana is not low calorie, really. You can have a serving of ice cream by the time you're done with the add-ins .

I prefer Artic Zone, honestly. It's easy to find, low in calories, and helps me reach my protein without tasting like protein :)
