Feeling proud and motivated

I see so many posts from people looking to other people for motivation.
I decided to write this post to encourage people to self motivate. Its actually easier than you think, take something you have done that you are proud of and use it to make yourself happy and if you are happy, you are motivated...

Today I am feeling good. Its my first week back on the wagon after the wheels fell of it and rolled away into the distance last December.

My week starts on a Saturday and I have been walking after work 3x, doing between 3-6 miles.
I have stayed within my weekly calorie goal and it paid off... I lost 4.2lb (Ok so I know its not fat and is most probably water but I am still having it).

Today, I went for a swim (Breast Stroke). I set my sights on 30 lengths of a 25m pool. I decided to "dedicate" every set of 10 lengths to a specific thing (For example: My future wedding dress, the hotcross bun bread and butter pudding in my fridge etc)
I blasted through to 30 no problems after 40 though I had enough my legs had just startet to ache. I didnt stop though I had 10 more left in me. Now my legs ache and my arms are starting to have their tuppance woth too. I didnt stop though and managed 10 more.

I had pushed past my comfort limit and done more than I though I could.

What have you done this weekend to make you proud and motivated?

Hiya, what a lovely post to read - no wonder your proud of yourself. Fantastic weight loss and also you've smashed that swimming session. I think when you get a good work out like that and a good weight loss then you cant help feel a boost !!! Great going.

My motivation this weekend was from my partner, he works away for 3/4/5 sometimes 6 weeks at a time. He came back yesterday and I felt fantastic because he can see a difference in me and he said how good I looked. It was a little thing but the biggest of boosts to my ego and has inspired me to keep going after a difficult few weeks.

Happy Days & keep going :)
