Ironmaster IM1500: is it any cop?

Hello people with big chests and small bellies. I hope to join your club soon, but I need some help.
I have been using ironmaster adjustable dumbbells and super bench for a few weeks. I love them and I'm growing muscle and loosing fat.
But I have just stayed stronglifts 5x5 and realised I need a barbell and rack to do squats and be a bit more safe.
So I was looking at the im1500 as I am so pleased with my ironmaster kit. Also they do a barbell that I can use with my quick lock dumbbell weights. This seems like a good idea as I have 240lbs of weights with the Dumbbells and that should be plenty to last me a while.
So are those two items a good idea, and will they be good for my 5x5 programme.
I know some people say a full rack is safer, but I would use suspension straps as well as the spotting arms. If you say to buy something else please say what it can do that the im1500 can't
Thank you.

Hmm that's a lotta cash, for that money I'd look at something like Rogue.
The adjustable IM DBs are great but they're gonna be a problem for deadlifts since they aren't the height of a normal olympic plate. 240lbs also isn't much, you will run out of weight with the squat and deadlift within 6 months most likely. I'd look at olympic barbell equipment, use the DBs for accessory movements.0 -
Man you'll go through 240 lb of weight pretty quickly once you start deadlifts and squats. Not sure if you're in the US but Academy Sports (probably similar places also) has a Cap 300lb Olympic barbell set for ~$200. Then you can just buy more plates as needed. Regardless of brand, sooner or later you'll want an Olympic bar and plates.0
