how do you subtract from BMR to see how many calories you should eat per day to lose weight?
do you take-off a certain %age, or do you subtract 100 calories, 200 calories, etc.???
thanks

You don't subtract from your BMR (the amount of calories your body needs to keep you alive, does not include your daily activities or exercise). Most of us who don't use MFP's method subtract 15-20% from our TDEE (the total amount of calories we use in a 24 hour period).
