Looking for active friends

Hello,

I have been on this weight-loss roller coaster for a couple of years now. I was able to successfully lose 65lbs in 2011. However in my last year of studies (where I was on a very busy schedule in clinics) I somehow managed to gain 35lbs back onto my body. I could blame it on a ton of different things: too much work, too little time, too much stress etc. etc. We all know the excuses. I know that I gained back the weight because I ate too much and exercise too little. I have decided to come back to MFP and work at losing the weight I regained and then work toward my goal!

I've recently decided to look at my "Pals" list. I personally try to be active with my pals and help motivate and support. I am most definitely not perfect. I sometimes miss days and things get in the way. But in general I try to log onto the site, log in my food and keep in touch with my weight loss buddies. There were a few weeks when I logged in every day and only heard back from a few of my peeps (to which I am extremely grateful for). I have decided to let go of some of the ppl on my friends list (those who never log in, or who do nothing except log in for the days) and am hoping to find some new motivated/hard working/willing to help keep me accountable pals! I think in order to be successful you need people to call you out on your food choices (nicely!) or help push you to do that workout you didn't want to do. Praise goes a long way too.

If you are looking for active buddies then please add me. I have lofty goals (109lbs more to lose!) but am trying to take things one day at a time. I'd really love people to add me who have open diaries (I love finding new meal ideas!). If you decide to add me please tell me a little bit about yourself. I like to get to know the people I'm working with :o)

I've been losing and gaining for a couple years as well. I'm about 30lbs away from my (current) goal weight.
I'm on MFP all the time and I try to motivate and encourage all of my friends. A great support system helps me to be successful.
Feel free to add me!

Feel free to add me:) My weight loss journey sounds similar to many of you. I started losing in 2006 using weight watchers and managed to go from 235 to 180. I stalled out a while then found MFP in 2009 and managed to lose another 20 and got down to around 165. It felt awesome because at this point I can say I'd be happy getting back there and "maintaining," but I didn't stay there long and slowly but surely I have crept my way back up to 220. When I stepped on the scale a few days ago I was so discouraged, disappointed, depressed, but I decided I've GOT to do something, because saying there doesn't help. So I'm back! I can use some support and I want to be a support to others. I have an open diary because that really helps me to stay accountable.
